What a Field CTO actually does

The role sits between sales, engineering, and partners. Here is how I think about it.

A Field CTO is a translator. On any given week I might help a customer frame a hard technical decision, help a partner understand where a product fits, and help a sales team turn a capability into a conversation.

Three audiences, one job

Customers want an honest view of trade-offs. Partners want clarity about where they fit. Colleagues want enough depth to be credible in the room. The work is making the same truth useful to all three.
